After the game ends, a result is calculated. Any stones that opponent could capture are calculated as captured.
Player's points are the sum of following:
* The territory he has surrounded,
* captured and capturable opponent's' stones.
White usually gets some extra compensation for black's right to start the the game. This is called komi.
Hactar uses Japanese rules for calculating result.

GThe game starts from an empty board, and black plays the first stone. GThe goal is to surround empty territory and capture opponent's stones. Game ends when both players pass.
Stones can be captured in the same way as in capture-go.
Repetition of same board position is forbidden similarly to capture 3 game.

An example game continuation is shown. White 1 cannot capture the black stone. Black 2 could connect black's stone, but here it does not do it. White 3 may capture black's stone, as stones 1 and 2 already changechanged the whole-board position.

Capture 3 stones has onean additional rule: PA player may not play a stone so that it would created somecreates a past board position. So repetition of full -board position is not allowed.

One of ther players takes black "stones" and the other player takes white "stones". BThe board is a grid of 9 by 9 lines.
GThe game starts with 4 stones are on the board as shown in the diagram.
Black player starts the game. PEach player plays a single stone of their own color. PA player can play to any empty intersection. PA player may not pass. Once the stone is played it is never moved to another intersection.

SA string of stones is captured by playing into string's last liberty. In the diagram whites stones (A) are captured when black plays into B. SA stone string consists all the stones connected by lines. SA strings does not connect diagonally.
